Introductory Biology: A Whodunnit Approach

Course Description

This course is intended for first year students with an interest in biology, using the lens of forensic science to guide the explorations. Students will explore many facets of forensic science, from processing and mapping a crime scene, to studying many of the standard physical, chemical & biological analyses conducted upon evidence collected. During laboratory sessions, students will conduct many of the types of tests and analyses routinely used in modern crime labs today. Students will also explore some of the uncertainties and limitations of science through laboratory sessions as well as various class assignments and/or projects.
