Course Description

Introduces the undergraduate student to clinical management in the Truesdail Speech Center, familiarizing the student with principles of assessment and intervention for communication disorders, disorders in children and adults. Clinical case study investigation makes up a significant portion of the course. Students will complete an assistant clinician assignment in the Truesdail Center, which requires a commitment of two additional hours per week outside of class meetings. A student's grade point average in the CDIS major determines eligibility for the assistant clinician option.
