"The Science of Self Reliance" studies the scientific principles behind: fermentation (including beer brewing, yogurt & cheese making), sourdough culture and baking, cloth dyeing, and other methods of food preservation. With an emphasis on learning by doing, no background in science is required and this is recommended for non-science majors. Additional fees may apply for Summer term only. Offered as needed.
