Course Description
The Clinical pastoral education (CPE) course is a combination of 100 hours of professional education and 300 hours of hands-on experience, providing spiritual care to patients, families and staff members in multi-faith clinical setting. Chaplaincy students taking this course must apply, in consultation with the ICP Director, to the ACPE center, get accepted, and complete the CPE Unit. Upon successful completion of the unit, students will email Dr. Abu-Shamsieh with a copy of the final CPE evaluation and a copy of the ACPE certificate. [Faculty Consent required]
