School of Music Seminar

The Music First Year Seminar is intended for all students planning to major in music. It will set the stage for the rigorous course of musical training that you will undertake at the University of Redlands Conservatory of Music. As a class, we will be introduced to a wide variety of topics that are important to the emerging professional musician through on-going reading, listening, and writing projects, guest lectures from music professionals and current Conservatory faculty, and in-class discussions and activities. The goal of this seminar is to give each student a solid foundation in the culture and expectations of studying music here at Redlands and beyond, as well as to give each student the tools to efficiently and effectively progress musically, academically, and professionally.
