Communication and Culture

This course is designed as a way to introduce to the discourses and theories about communication as analyzed through the prism of cultural studies and cultural difference, ideas essential to the academic discipline of Communication and Media. We will examine both the intersections and the divergences between communication as.a field that turns to various practices and technologies we use to convey and share information and cultural studies, which turns to both the histories and legacies of systems such as communication in order to help us make sense of the world.
