Course Description
Utilizing William Herzog's work, "Prophet and Teacher" (2005), this course offers, overview of scholarship about the historical figure, Jesus of Nazareth, introduction to issues and approaches currently employed in studies of the historical Jesus, and exploration of the relevance of these studies for the contemporary Christian church. Class format includes, Group discussion and lecture. Evaluation based on participation and four short papers. Auditors with Faculty permission. Class meets weekdays, 6/9/10-6/22/10, from 7,00pm-10,00pm, at ABSW.
